Originally from the beaches of NC, Amy grew up living all over the country as "Marine Corps kid" and is proud to claim Raleigh as her home (which is now the longest place she's ever lived).
Growing up, health, wellness and friendly competition were a constant in Amy's life due to the influence of her triathlete mother and fighter pilot father. Amy's love for friendly competition continued as she cheered/competed at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in Exercise Science at Appalachian State University. Due to its reputation in orthopedics and manual therapy, Amy obtained a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Master of Occupational Therapy degrees at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida.
Amy currently practices physical therapy with a focus in women's health in Raleigh and finds so much reward in empowering people every day. She is excited to bring her love and knowledge for anatomy and movement to the #FlowFam! When Amy is not in the FlowCORPS studio, serving as a women's health advocate, teaching anatomy or practicing physical therapy, you can find her playing with her son (who is the cutest baby in the world), Maverick, and enjoying excellent wine and food with her husband, family and friends.
